From the ground up: Paul's farming journey
Paul's journey in farming began in high school, learning invaluable lessons from one of the best in the business, Ken Fox.
Paulz Farm opened in 2025 with the support of the longtime Mars, farm family. He is grateful for their ongoing support.
His dedication to growing the freshest, highest quality vegetables for his family and community drives every decision.
For Paul, and his family it's not just a business; it's a way of life. His passion to feed people, earned him awards at the Saanich Fair in his very first year!
A culinary connection: Chelsea's touch
Chelsea brings a rich culinary background to Paulz Farm. Her legendary carrot cakes are just a taste of her talents.
Together with her mom, Dar, they successfully ran two "Roost" restaurants, always prioritizing local sourcing.
Now, she uses Paul's exceptionally sweet carrots, beets and other vegetables to create healthy and delicious treats for their daughters, Ella and Lily D, making every lunchbox a little bit special. It's a match made in heaven, blending the best of the farm and the kitchen.
Growing together with our community
Paul and Chelsea are deeply passionate about preserving the precious farmland in Central Saanich, a place they both grew up. They embrace a minimalist lifestyle, extending their care for the land to their family and community. With huge hearts, they've collectively provided hundreds of pounds of fresh vegetables to local organizations, ensuring those in need have access to nutritious food. Their vision for Paulz Farm is to invite neighbours to grow with them, one season at a time, strengthening our local food system and protecting what makes this region so special.
